A personal, enigmatic illustration and character design, by Gabriel Martínez Meave - Sometimes an idea, an entity, just pops up into your mind. An idea with life of its own, an almost sentient being made of imagination, like Lucibel. Not a fallen angel, but a rising demon.
Always a fan of Baroque music, and especially fond of organ compositions, I dreamt of a beautiful devil performing at the King of Instruments, her music being the most subjugating power. So I had no other chance but drawing her, in exacting detail, with graphite over vellum. Then, digital colour. One of my favourite illustrations ever. Below, some details and the original pencil line drawing.
