  • Heraldry is one of the oldest and most effective systems of visual identity ever created. Why not apply it to today’s logos and signs? Atelier Meave was the perfect project for that. Based on the Eagle and the Serpent, traditional icons of Mexico’s identity, this coat of arms also features the Tools of the Trade: the Quill, the Pencil, the Cutter and the Brush, together with a roll of Parchment and, above all, the Eye, symbolizing Vision, Imagination and Creation.

There are several versions of the coat of arms: one-ink and three-inks, flat colour versions; and the full, modeled, glossy-icon version. There is also the Eye-only version of the identity, to be used as a simplified icon/avatar.

Concept and design by Gabriel Martínez Meave.
