“To mix is good”, some say. In this case, the mix is Photography with Illustra-tion. The responsible of the first one is the talented Enrique Covarrubias; of the second, the one who writes this blog. This is a project I accomplished in the last few days, titled Mestizaje infinito, dealing with the themes of Time and Mexico. Over the images I draw a ‘mental space’ populated by Mayan glyphs, haute orlogerie complications, hourglasses, gears, tonalpohualli signs and cryptic texts. The project was sponsored by the firm Audemars Piguet, for the special edition watch Pride of Mexico. More post soon.
